Electrolyte Mocktail ๐
Nature already made your electrolyte supplement: a recipe
When you hear the word electrolyte, one of two companies probably comes to mind. What these companies donโt want you to think about is that you probably have all of the ingredients in your kitchen at any given time to make the product they charge so much for. This recipe is a versatile formula that you can use with a variety of ingredients as long as you stick with the base of coconut water and sea salt. I recommend making a big batch that you can grab from the fridge throughout the week.
Iโm using juniper berry tea in this recipe since they are the main tasting note in gin which adds to the mocktail vibe. They are also an incredible source of antioxidants. They fight inflammation on the cellular level and help fight free radicals. They also ease bloating and stimulate digestive enzymes. Take note that juniper berry tea can be very potent so if youโre pregnant or suffer from kidney disease you should omit them from this recipe.
This mocktail is incredibly refreshing and a deliciously tart treat to help combat the summer heat. Coconut water and juniper berries provide you with potassium and magnesium while sea salt rounds out the three main electrolytes your body is craving.

Substitutions + Notes
If you donโt want to use the juniper tea, you can simply substitute it for more coconut water
You can store remaining juniper tea in the fridge to use in future mocktails or to drink on its own
Sweeten to taste. I like mine on the sour side, but feel free to add more honey to sweeten it up
You can substitute strawberries for just about any fruit in this recipe. Cherries are fantastic for added magnesium.
